July 28th, 2014 - Weiss Lands Another Top Five in WISSOTA Challenge Series

Monday evening found Ricky Weiss in familiar territory as the WISSOTA Blain Brothers Challenge Series invaded Estevan Motor Speedway (Estevan, SK). The $2,000-to-win program marked the series' first ever Canadian event, which drew a field of fifteen entries. Ricky started fourth in his heat race and laid claim to the win, earning him the fourth starting spot for the feature event. In the main event Weiss battled amongst the top five throughout the duration of the race, crossing the finish line in fourth behind race winner, David McDonald, John Kaanta, and Jake Redetzke. July 26th, 2014 - Ricky Weiss Enters a Trio of WISSOTA Challenge Series Events
Ricky Weiss set out to enter a trio of events over the weekend with the WISSOTA Blaine Brothers Challenge Series, which began on Thursday evening at Brown County Speedway (Aberdeen, South Dakota). Twenty-nine WISSOTA Late Models registered for the event, and a tenth to fourth run in his heat race earned Ricky a spot in the evenings redraw. Weiss drew the second starting spot to lock into the outside-front-row for the feature alongside Donny Schatz. In the main event Weiss ran second for much of the race before falling back to fourth late in the event. He managed a third place finish final rundown behind race winner, Jeff Wildung, and Donny Schatz. David McDonald and Zach Johnson rounded out the top five finishers.

On Friday night action shifted to Dacotah Speedway (Mandan, South Dakota) for the annual North Dakota Governor's Cup, as twenty-nine entries converged on the oval. Ricky drew the eighth starting spot for his heat race, and despite starting in the back of the pack he advanced to a second place finish. In the redraw Weiss was the recipient of the sixth starting spot in the main event. During the course of the feature he raced his way up to the second spot when the caution flag waved with six laps remaining. On the restart Weiss slipped back to third where he would finish behind race winner, Zach Johnson, and John Kaanta. Jake Redetzke rounded out the top five finishers.

Round #2 of the Governor's Cup was contested on Saturday night, which saw Ricky snare his first ever victory with the Blaine Brothers Challenge Series. Weiss won his heat race from the pole position, then drew the outside-front-row starting spot alongside Zach Johnson for the $2,000-to-win finale. Weiss outdueled Johnson for the race lead at the drop of the green flag, but Johnson would not give up easily. The duo swapped the lead several times throughout the course of the event, but it was Weiss who would go to Victory Lane over Johnson, Jake Redetzke, Jeff Wildung, and Eric Mass.

July 19th, 2014 - Weiss Opens Weekend Action at Red River Co-Op
Ricky Weiss opened his weekend with a trip to Red River Co-Op Speedway (RRCS) (Winnipeg, Canada) for an NLRA Late Model Special. A second place finish in the first heat race positioned Ricky starting sixth in the main event. Weiss quickly charged to front of the pack in the feature, and ran second much of the race. Weiss came to life late in the race and was able to narrow the gap on early leader Brad Seng, but he never closed in enough to challenge for the top spot. Seng went on to claim the win while Weiss settle for a second place run. Dustin Strand, Mike Balcaen, and Steffen Snare rounded out the top five finishers. Friday night found Ricky back in action at I-94 Speedway (Fergus Falls, Minnesota), and after winning his heat race Weiss locked into the ninth starting spot in the finale. In the feature Ricky wasted no time charging to the front of the pack. Weiss had put a comfortable distance between himself and the field out front as the laps were winding down. Unfortunately a mechanical failure with just two lap remaining brought his night to an early end, and a disappointing seventeenth place finish. Complete results are available at www.I94Speedways.com

The weekend drew to a closevon Saturday night at Viking Speedway (Alexandria, Minnesota) for a Weekly Racing Series event. Ricky drew the second starting spot for his heat race and won, earning him the eighth starting position on the feature grid. During the course of the main event Weiss worked his way forward to cross the finish line in fourth behind race winner, Jeff Wildung, Don Shaw, and Zach Johnson. July 11th, 2014 - Ricky Weiss Increases 2014 Win Total to Nine
Ricky Weiss continued his mid-season dominance on Thursday night at Red River Co-Op Speedway (RRCS) (Winnipeg, Canada). Fifteen Super Late Model registered for battle, and Ricky started his outing with a heat race win to lock into the pole position for the feature with Mike Balcaen alongside. Weiss beat Balcaen off the front row to lead early before the first of four cautions occurred on lap four. With twelve laps remaining Weiss commanded the lead out front, but sixth starting Brad Seng was closing in. Weiss and Seng battled side-by-side as they weaved their way through lap traffic to the end. Weiss was able to hold off Seng to remain undefeated this season at RRCS. Ricky carried his winning streak into Friday night when he parked his #7 Derrick's Sandblasting/ Bloomquist Super Late Model in Victory Lane at I-94 Speedway (Fergus Falls, Minnesota). A third to first run in heat race action earned Weiss the seventh starting spot in the main event. During the course of the feature Weiss progressively worked his way forward to take the lead. Once out front Weiss held off a hard charging Cody Skytland for his second victory in as many nights. July 5th, 2014 - Weiss Collects Two More Victories in Weekend Action
Ricky Weiss drove to his third straight victory at Red River Co-Op Speedway (Winnipeg, Canada) on Thursday night. Ricky finished second to Mike Balcaen in heat race action, earning him the seventh starting spot in the finale. In the feature front row starter Shane Edginton assumed the point at the drop of the green flag, but it would not take long for Ricky Weiss to chase down the leaders. Edginton maintained a solid out front until the final caution flag of the race waved to stack the field back up. On the restart Edginton was being chased down by Weiss and Balcaen. Balcaen dove under Edginton in turn one and the two would make contact, allowing Weiss to race high around them both and steal the lead. Friday night took the team to River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) for a Weekly Racing Series program. Ricky won the first heat race from the pole position to lock into the sixth starting spot for the feature. The weekend drew to a close on Saturday night at Estevan Motor Speedway, which saw another dominating performance by Ricky Weiss. Ricky advanced from the third starting spot to claim a heat race win, earning him the pole position for the feature.
