June 26th, 2014 - Busy Weekend for Ricky Weiss Starts with NLRA Action
Ricky Weiss traveled to Norman County Raceway (Ada, Minnesota) on Wednesday evening for a Northern Late Model Racing Association event. A strong field of thirty-one Super Late Models entered the $1,000-to-win program. A heat race win positioned Weiss starting second in the finale alongside pole sitter Mike Balcaen. Weiss led early on in the feature before slipping to a third place finish at the checkered flag behind race winner, Jeff Wildung, and Brand Seng. Cody Skytland and Mike Balcaen rounded out the top five finishers. Complete results from the weekend are available at www.NLRA.org

The team returned to Norman County Raceway on Thursday evening for a Weekly Racing Series program that drew a field of twenty-nine Super Late Models to the oval. Ricky drew the sixth starting spot for his heat race and went on to finish third, earning him the twelfth starting spot in the feature. June 21st, 2014 - Weiss with a Pair of Top Five Finishes in NLRA Action
After Thursday night's program at Red River Co-Op Speedway was washed away by Mother Nature, the team set out to enter a pair of Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) events.

Action got underway on Friday evening at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota), as twenty-three Super Late Models converged on the oval. A fifth place finish in his heat race would earn Ricky the thirteenth starting spot for the finale. Despite starting mid-pack for the feature, Weiss charged to the front and would cross the finish line in second behind race winner, Mike Balcaen.

On Saturday night, Hibbing Raceway (Hibbing, Minnesota) hosted the second round of the NLRA weekend. A strong field of thirty-five entries registered for battle with Weiss finishing runner-up in his heat race. As a result he start tenth on the feature grid, and when the race went green Ricky advanced to a fifth place finish behind race winner, Brad Seng, Pat Doar, Bobby Carlson, and Zachery Wohlers at the checkered flag.

June 13th, 2014 - Ricky Weiss Lands Back-to-Back Victories at Red River & I-94
Ricky Weiss returned to Red River Co-Op Speedway (Winnipeg, Canada) on Thursday evening and parked his #7 Derrick's Sandblasting/ Bloomquist Super Late Model back in Victory Lane for the second straight week. (TSJohnson Photo)

A modest eleven entries registered for the Weekly Racing Series program at the 4/10 mile oval. Ricky started his outing by charging from fifth to finish second in heat race action, locking him into the sixth starting spot for the finale. In the main event Weiss took control from Mike Balcaen on lap three. With laps winding down, Weiss began to show smoke out the back of his entry. He slowed up a little, allowing second running Balcaen to close the gap. The duo battled hard in the three remaining laps, swapping the lead multiple times. In the end despite his mechanical issues, Weiss was able to hold off the veteran and win his second straight feature at the oval. Steffen Snare, Mike Martin, and Shane Edginton rounded out the top five finishers.

Friday night saw action shifting to a I-94 Speedway (Fergus Falls, Minnesota) for a WISSOTA Weekly Racing Series program, and once again Weiss did not disappoint. With fourteen competitors registered for battle, Ricky finished third in his heat race to earn the pole position for the main event. In the feature he went on to claim the dominating victory over Don Shaw, Tom Thompson, Eric Breeschoten, and Kevin Robertson. Complete results are available at www.I94Speedways.com


June 8th, 2014 - Ricky Weiss Contineus Busy Weekend with a Pair of Top Fives
Ricky Weiss continued his busy weekend scheduled on Friday night. After the WISSOTA Challenge Series event at Brown County Speedway (Aberdeen, South Dakota) was nixed by rain, Weiss traveled to I-94 Speedway (Fergus Falls, Minnesota). Ricky won his preliminary heat race, and started eighth in the main event. During the course of the feature he advanced to a solid second place finish behind race winner, Eric Breeschoten. Tom Thompson, Brad Parson, and Shawn Meyer rounded out the top five finishers. Full results from the event are available at www.I94Speedways.com

Saturday saw the team returning to the state of South Dakota for Round #2 with the WISSOTA Challenge Series at the Dakota State Fair Speedway (Huron, South Dakota). An eighth to third charge in heat race action positioned Weiss starting sixth in the $6,400-to-win finale. In the 64 lap feature Ricky progressively worked his way forward to cross the finish line in third.

The weekend came to a close on Sunday evening as the tour invaded Casino Speedway (Watertown, South Dakota). Ricky used a heat race win to lock into the fifth starting spot on the grid for the finale. In the feature he battled near the top five early in the race before fading to a seventh place finish in the final rundown.

June 5th, 2014 - Weiss Opens Busy Weekend with Victory at Red River Co-Op
Ricky Weiss opened a busy weekend of racing on Thursday night with a trip to Victory Lane at Red River Co-Op Speedway (Winnipeg, Canada).
