January 18th, 2015 - Wild West Shootout Continues in Tucson

Fifty-two entries registered for battle, and a ninth to fifth run in heat race action left Weiss just short of locking into the main event. He later finished second in his b-main, which positioned him nineteenth in the 30 lap finale. Despite starting near the back of the pack, Ricky advanced six positions throughout the duration of the feature en route to a thirteenth place finish.

Round #5 of the miniseries was contested on Saturday evening at the 3/8 mile oval and boosted a $3,000 top prize to competitors. Fifty-two entries returned for action, and Weiss raced to a convincing heat race win from his second starting spot, locking him into the seventh starting position on the feature grid. During the course of the 30 lapper, Ricky battled amongst the top ten throughout much of the main event before settling to a tenth place finish in the final rundown.

Sunday evening saw the finale for the Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout contested as fifty Super Late Models registered to chase the $10,000 top prize. A fifth place finish in his heat race left Ricky short of locking into the feature, sending him to a b-main. He charged to a fourth place finish in his b-main, earning him the 24th starting spot for the 50 lap finale. Despite starting deep in the pack, Weiss moved forward to record a fourteenth place finish at the checkered flag.

January 14th, 2015 - Weiss Opens 2015 with Wild West Shootout at USA Raceway

Fifty Super Late Models were registered for battle at the 3/8 mile oval, and by virtue of the draw Ricky was slated to start on the pole of his heat race. Weiss battled the hand on his #7 Derrick's Sandblasting/A.I.E Communications/Rocket/Vic Hill Racing Engines Super Late Model in the heat, settling to a fourth place finish. As a result he would have to run a b-main where he would advance from his fifth starting to finish third, earning him the 22nd starting spot for the 30 lap, $3,000-to-win feature event. Ricky went on to advance five positions to a seventeenth place finish in the final rundown.

Sunday evening saw the winner's check increase to $5,000-to-win as forty-nine entries were on hand for the event. Weiss drew the second starting spot for his heat race and charged to a convincing victory, earning him the third starting position for the 30 lap finale. In the main event, Weiss battled amongst the top five for the first half of the race before settling to a respectable seventh place finish.

The Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout resumed on Wednesday evening with a $3,000-to-win program. Forty-six Super Late Models signed in for the event, and Ricky starting his outing by drawing the eighth starting spot for heat race action. He went on to finish sixth, which left just short of a transfer position and relegated him to a b-main. Weiss advanced from his fourth starting spot to finish second in the b-main, locking him into the nineteenth position on the feature grid. In the 30 lap main event, Weiss registered a sixteenth place finish at the checkered flag.
