June 30th, 2017 - Three Top 5 Finishes Over Fourth of July Weekend
aOn Thursday night Ricky Weiss returned to Red River Co-op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba) for the Canada Day Celebration special. In a field of 12 Super Late Models, Weiss jumped up three spots in his heat to place 2nd behind Mike Balcaen. Starting in 8th for the A-Main, Ricky streaked through the field six spots notching a runner-up finish behind Bill Mooney with Dustin Strand, Rick Fawcett, and Mike Balcaen completing the Top 5 finishers.

aThe following night Ricky visited River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) for a pair of Northern Late Model Racing Association sanctioned features. Cruising to an 8-lap heat race win from the pole position, Ricky earned the 4th-starting spot for the $1,100-to-win A-Main. Holding his position for all 20-laps, Weiss posted a 4th place finish behind Dustin Strand, Donny Schatz, and Bill Mooney with Mike Balcaen coming in 5th.

Later Friday night for the rescheduled NLRA feature from June 16th, Weiss rolled off 5th for a chance at the $1,100 payday. Working his way into a podium spot, Ricky gained two positions to place 3rd behind Dustin Strand and Donny Schatz with Brad Seng and Bill Mooney rounding out the Top 5.

June 23rd, 2017 - Ricky Weiss Wins at Red River Co-op Speedway
Behind the wheel of the Derrick’s Sandblasting #7 Super Late Model, Ricky Weiss visited Red River Co-op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba) on Thursday for the regular night of racing. Holding his spot in his 8-lap heat race, Weiss posted a runner-up finish behind Billy Mooney locking him into the 7th-starting position for the feature. aFriday night brought Weiss to River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) for another local night of racing. After starting the night off with a heat race win, Weiss posted a 5th place finish in the feature behind Bill Mooey, Dustin Strand, Brad Seng, and Mike Balcaen.

Persistent rain in the area axed Saturday's NLRA sanctioned event at Greenbush Race Park (Greenbush, Minnesota).

June 17th, 2017 - Weiss NLRA Weekend Ruined by Rain
aMaking his first start of the season with the Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA), Ricky Weiss was one of 24 Super Late Models signed in at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) on Friday for the $1,100 top prize. After passing five cars in his heat to place 2nd behind Zach Naastad, severe weather moved in before the feature was able to get underway postponing the event to a later date.

Saturday’s NLRA sanctioned event at Red River Valley Speedway (West Fargo, North Dakota) was also washed away by Mother Nature.

June 10th, 2017 - Weiss Begins Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora Speedway
aOn Thursday evening Ricky Weiss made the trek to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) to kick off the 23rd annual Dirt Late Model Dream. With 79 Super Late Models on hand for the UMP DIRTcar sanctioned weekend, Weiss slipped back to a 10th place finish in his heat race giving him one last shot at the opening night preliminary feature with a B-Main appearance. Transferring the Top 4, Ricky logged a 15th place outing bringing an early end to his night.

The following night after timing in fourteenth fastest overall, Weiss locked in his spot into the final preliminary feature with the 5th and final transfer position in his heat race. With $10,000 on the line, Ricky fell three spots in the 25-lapper recording a 23rd place finish.

Closing out the 23rd edition of the Dirt Late Model Dream on Saturday, Weiss posted a 9th place finish in his heat race sending him into the B-Main for his final shot at the $100,000-to-win finale. Sending the Top 4 into the show, Ricky improved eight spots in the 20-lap consolation event to place 10th but fell short of a transfer position ending his weekend.

June 3rd, 2017 - Podium Finish with World of Outlaws at Tazewell Speedway
aPowering the Derrick’s Sandblasting #7 Super Late Model, Ricky Weiss visited Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tennessee) on Friday night for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned program. Following the sixth fastest time in a field of 21 cars, Weiss landed a runner-up finish in his heat behind Chris Madden sending him into the redraw. After receiving the pole position, Ricky held on to a podium finish in the 50-lapper posting a 3rd place spot behind Shane Clanton and Jimmy Owens with Chris Madden and Brandon Sheppard completing the Top 5 finishers.

aSaturday night brought Weiss to Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) for the Schaeffer Oil Iron-Man Series. Locking his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main via qualifying, Weiss recorded a 4th place finish behind Tommy Kerr, Skip Arp, and Donald McIntosh with Chris Combs coming in 5th.
