September 30th, 2017 - Ricky Weiss Sweeps Prairie Classic at Red River Co-op
On Friday Ricky Weiss headed to Red River Co-op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba) for the two-day Prairie Classic. With 22 Super Late Models on hand for the unsanctioned weekend, Weiss started the night off with a heat race victory from the 5th-starting position. Rolling off on the pole for the opening night feature, Ricky outran the 21-car field to capture his thirteenth win of the season. Dustin Strand, Jim Harris, Bill Mooney, and Brad Seng completed the Top 5 finishers in the 20-lap affair.

September 16th, 2017 - Weiss Bags Four Top 5 Finishes During WISSOTA 100 Weekend
aWednesday night found Ricky Weiss in action at Dakota State Fair Speedway (Huron, South Dakota) for the WISSOTA 100 weekend. In a field of 29 Super Late Models, Ricky passed seven cars in his heat to capture a heat race victory. Rolling off 5th for the opening night feature, Weiss improved two more spots posting a 3rd place finish behind Lance Matthees and Scott Ward with Kent Arment and Eric Mass completing the Top 5 finishers.

The following night starting 8th in his heat race, Weiss landed a 2nd place finish behind Chad Olsen positioning him 6th on the starting grid for the feature. Breaking into the Top 5, Ricky gained two positions in the 15-lapper recording a 4th place finish behind Jeff Provinzino, Chad Olsen, and Jeff Wildung with Chad Becker coming in 5th.

For the third night of action in the WISSOTA 100, Ricky secured his spot into the A-Main with a heat race win from the 6th-starting position. Starting in 4th for the 15-lap feature, Weiss jumped up two spots to place 2nd behind Chad Becker with David McDonald, Ryan Mikkelson, and Jordan Heiman rounding out the Top 5.

Wrapping up the WISSOTA 100 on Saturday, Ricky had already locked his spot into the $10,000-to-win finale with his performances the previous three nights. September 9th, 2017 - Podium Finish in John Seitz Memorial
aRicky Weiss headed to River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) on Thursday evening for Prelude to the Johnny. With 45 Super Late Models on hand for the Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) sanctioned program, Ricky secured his spot into the opening night feature with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Steve Laursen. Starting in 7th, Weiss gained three positions in the 25-lapper to place 4th behind Don Shaw, Jake Redetzke, and Dustin Strand with John Kanta coming in 5th.

Returning on Friday night for the two-day John Seitz Memorial, Ricky passed four cars in his heat logging a 3rd place finish. Transferring into the Dash, Weiss reeled in a 2nd place finish behind A.J. Diemel locking him into the 2nd-starting position for the $9,200-to-win A-Main on Saturday evening. After his performance over the weekend, Ricky captured the NLRA points title for his first time since 2011.

September 3rd, 2017 - Three-Win Weekend for Ricky Weiss
On Thursday evening Ricky Weiss kicked off the action-packed Labor Day weekend at Red River Co-op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba) for the Race of Champions Qualifier. Improving two spots in his heat, Weiss posted an 8-lap heat race win positioning him on the pole for the A-Main. The following night with 16 Super Late Models on hand at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota), Weiss secured his spot into the WISSOTA sanctioned feature with a 4th place finish in his heat. Saturday night brought Weiss to Viking Speedway (Alexandria, Minnesota) for the Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) sanctioned Labor Day Doubleheader. Starting the night off with a heat race victory, Ricky earned the pole position for the A-Main. Jumping into the lead on the opening lap, Weiss outran the 26-car field to capture his twelfth win of the season and a $1,600 payday. aWrapping up the weekend on Sunday, Ricky passed two cars in his heat to pick up the win. Rolling off 2nd for the $1,600-to-win finale, Weiss held his spot for the entire distance to place 2nd behind Don Shaw with Brad Seng, Shane Edginton, and Pat Doar completing the Top 5 finishers.
