Ricky Weiss Contineus Busy Weekend with a Pair of Top Fives

Ricky Weiss continued his busy weekend scheduled on Friday night. After the WISSOTA Challenge Series event at Brown County Speedway (Aberdeen, South Dakota) was nixed by rain, Weiss traveled to I-94 Speedway (Fergus Falls, Minnesota). Ricky won his preliminary heat race, and started eighth in the main event. During the course of the feature he advanced to a solid second place finish behind race winner, Eric Breeschoten. Tom Thompson, Brad Parson, and Shawn Meyer rounded out the top five finishers. Full results from the event are available at www.I94Speedways.com

Saturday saw the team returning to the state of South Dakota for Round #2 with the WISSOTA Challenge Series at the Dakota State Fair Speedway (Huron, South Dakota). An eighth to third charge in heat race action positioned Weiss starting sixth in the $6,400-to-win finale. In the 64 lap feature Ricky progressively worked his way forward to cross the finish line in third.

The weekend came to a close on Sunday evening as the tour invaded Casino Speedway (Watertown, South Dakota). Ricky used a heat race win to lock into the fifth starting spot on the grid for the finale. In the feature he battled near the top five early in the race before fading to a seventh place finish in the final rundown.
