Ricky Weiss returned on the 2015 season by making the trip to Brown County Speedway (Aberdeen, South Dakota) powering his Derrick’s Sandblasting #7 Bloomquist/Pro Power Racing Super Late Model. Competing in another OneMain WISSOTA Challenge Series event, Weiss was one of 31 entries that looked to bring home a $2,000 payday. Battling in a field of 24 cars, Ricky finished ahead of all competitors by a straightway to find out after the race was completed that he was disqualified. It was determined Ricky Weiss incorrectly placed his transponder taking away his 15th victory of the season.
Saturday night brought Ricky to Greenbush Race Park (Greenbush, Minnesota) to compete in a Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) event. Laying down the quick time in a field of 24 Super Late Models, Weiss went on to bag a heat race victory. Starting on the pole for the $1,100 to win feature, Weiss scored his fifth NLRA win of the season. Bringing his tally to 15 wins on the season, Weiss ousted Brad Seng, Dustin Strand, Mike Balcaen, and Bill Mooney.
