Ricky Weiss Records Win at Red River Co-Op Speedway

On Thursday night Ricky Weiss returned to Red River Co-Op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba) for a regular show. With a smaller field of ten Late Models registered for the event, Ricky climbed three spots in his heat to record a 2nd place finish. Starting in 7th in the A-Main, Ricky wheeled his Late Model around six competitors to capture the victory with Bill Mooney, Mike Balcaen, Kevin Sexton and Mike Martin rounding out the top five. This win gives Ricky Weiss his 5th for the 2015 season.

Fresh off a win Ricky Weiss traveled to Brown County Speedway (Aberdeen, South Dakota) for a Wissota Late Model Challenge Series (WLMCS) event. After recording a 2nd place finish in his heat, Weiss scored a 6th place exit in the A-Main event.

The following night brought Ricky to Dakota State Fair Speedway for another WLMCS race with a stacked field of 36 Late Models. Starting second row on the inside, Weiss cruised to a heat victory transferring him into the 60-lap feature. With 25 competitors in the A-Main, Ricky pulled off a 2nd place finish behind Scott Ward with Kent Arment, Jeff Wildung and Brian Diede completing the top five finishers.

On Sunday night Weiss ran into some bad luck after failing to finish the A-Main. With 31 cars signed up for the night’s program, Ricky made the decision to pull off and save equipment at Casino Speedway (Watertown, South Dakota).
