Making the thirty-hour trek, Ricky Weiss was one thirty-five entries signed in on Monday night at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) for the opening night of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Winternationals. On Tuesday night in a field of forty-one Super Late Models, Ricky Weiss edged his way into the main event with a 4th place finish in his heat. With another $5,000 payday on the line, Weiss fell three spots in the 25-lapper retiring a 17th place outing.
Competing in the third night of action in the LOLMDS Winternationals, Ricky Weiss ran into trouble early in his heat. Battling for a transfer spot, Weiss came in contact with another competitor sending him to the tail and eventually into the B-Main for another shot at the feature. Coming up short of a transfer spot in his consolation event, Weiss was granted a provisional into the 35-lap A-Main. Starting on the back row, Ricky Weiss improved eight spots retiring a 17th place outing.

After battling back from some cosmetic damage on his car the following night, Weiss cruised to a 10-lap B-Main win transferring him into the main event. The following night in a field of thirty-five cars, Weiss transferred into the B-Main for one more shot at the main event after placing 8th in his heat. Transferring the top four cars into A-Main, Ricky gained five spots scoring a runner-up finish behind Mason Zeigler. Getting tangled up early in 50-lapper, Ricky Weiss retired a 26th place outing.
Battling in the final night of LOLMDS action at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida), Ricky secured his spot for the main event after scoring a 3rd place spot in his heat. Falling one positon in the $12,000-to-win A-Main, Weiss recorded a 13th place outing in the 60-lap event.
