Weiss Follows Florida-Georgia Speedways to Volusia

Continuing on with speed-weeks, Ricky Weiss headed to Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida) on Monday for the opening night 45th Annual UMP DIRTcar Nationals. Drawing forty-four Super Late Models, Weiss earned a front row spot for his heat after recording the fastest time in his group. Falling out of a transfer spot in his heat, Ricky scored a runner-up finish in his B-Main transferring him into the main event with a 19th place starting position. Battling for a $7,000 payday, Ricky Weiss retired a 20th place finish in the 30-lapper.

Competing in a field of fifty-one cars on Tuesday night, Weiss earned a front row starting spot for his heat after posting the fastest time in his qualifying group. Hanging on to a transfer position, Ricky recorded a 3rd place finish in his heat transferring him into the main event with a 13th place starting spot. Gaining one spot in the 30-lap A-Main, Ricky Weiss logged a 12th place outing.

Wrapping up the 45th Annual UMP DIRTcar Nationals, Ricky was one of fifty-two cars signed in at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida) on Wednesday night. Falling one position short of a transfer spot in his heat with a 3rd place finish, Weiss earned a front row spot for his B-Main. Transferring the top two into the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Ricky Weiss came position short again with a 3rd place outing.

Beginning the first night of World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series (WoO) action, Weiss transferred into the B-Main after placing 8th in his heat. Transferring the top three into the A-Main on Thursday night, Ricky failed to make it out for the consolation event.
