Ricky Weiss was one of 11 WISSOTA Super Late Models on hand at Red River Co-op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba) on Thursday evening for the regular night of racing. Passing three cars in his heat, Weiss reeled in a runner-up finish behind Mike Martin positioning him 8th on the starting grid for the feature. On Friday night at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota), Weiss charged to an 8-lap heat race victory from the 5th-starting spot. Earning the pole position for the A-Main, Ricky navigated his way through lap-traffic in the final laps to capture his 12th win of the season over Mike Balcaen, Brad Seng, Ryan Corbett, and Joey Pederson.
The following night Weiss stopped at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) for the 39th annual Gopher 50. In a field of 30 World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series entries, Ricky secured his spot into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Coming shy of a Top-10 finish, Ricky Weiss dropped two spots in the 50-lapper logging an 11th place outing.
