Ricky Records 15th Place Finish at Knoxville
On Thursday night Ricky Weiss headed to Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey’s General Stores. Drawing a field of 63 Super Late Models for the three-day event, Weiss bagged a runner-up finish in his heat to Earl Pearson Jr. transferring him into the preliminary feature. Earning the pole position starting spot for the $7,000 to win A-Main, Ricky fell back to a 23rd place outing in the 25-lapper.
Returning for the 2nd night of action at Knoxville Raceway, Ricky Weiss was slated to start in the 4th row of his heat after recording the 6th fastest qualifying time in his group. Logging a 6th place outing, Weiss transferred into the B-Main for another shot at the $7,000 to win A-Main. Needing a 6th place finish or better, Weiss edged his way into the main event with a 6th place finish. Gaining four spots in the 25-lap feature, Ricky Weiss retired a 20th place finish.
On the final night of action, Ricky earned a 15th row starting spot for the main event based off his results in the previous two nights. With $40,000 on the line, Ricky Weiss stormed through the field in the 100-lapper gaining 14 spots to record a solid 15th place finish.
