Ricky Weiss Notches Runner-up Finish in Big Daddy 500

Competing with the Ultimate Super Late Model Series and the Ultimate Battle of the Bluegrass Series (UBoB), Ricky Weiss visited Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) on Saturday night for the Big Daddy 500. Recording the 4th fastest time in a field of twenty-nine cars, Weiss earned a 4th place starting spot for the $5,000-to-win show. Weiss Places 3rd at Volunteer Speedway

Back behind the wheel of Vic Hill’s #7 Super Late Model, Ricky Weiss was one of twenty-six Super Late Models signed in at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tennessee) for the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event. Posting the fastest time in qualifying, Weiss earned the pole position starting spot for the feature. Ricky Weiss Competes in WISSOTA Challenge Series

On Thursday night Ricky Weiss headed to Dakota State Fair Speedway (Huron, South Dakota) for the opening night of the OneMain WISSOTA Challenge Series. In a stout field of fifty-one cars, Weiss earned a 5th place starting spot for the feature via preliminary events. Improving three spots, Ricky landed a runner-up finish behind Jason Krohn with Lance Matthees, Donny Schatz, and Jeff Wildung trailing them to the checkers.

With the weather affecting his plans on Saturday, Weiss returned to Dakota State Fair Speedway (Huron, South Dakota) on Sunday for another round of action in the WISSOTA Challenge Series. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Weiss recorded a 12th place finish. (CRP Photos)

On Monday night, Weiss traveled to Red River Coop Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba) for the season-opener of the speedway. Storming to the front from his 5th place starting spot in his heat, Weiss earned a 7th place starting position for the feature. Improving five spots in the feature, Ricky scored a runner-up finish behind Shane Edginton with Kevin Sexton, Bill Mooney, and Mike Balcaen rounding out the top five.
