Weiss Invades Senoia Raceway for Spring Nationals Weekend

Entering the Schaeffer Oil Spring Nationals sanctioned weekend, Ricky Weiss was one 35 Super Late Models signed in at Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Georgia) on Friday night for the $4,000-to-win A-Main. Registering a 3rd place finish in his heat race, Ricky earned the 16th-starting position for the opening night A-Main. Moving up two spots in the 40-lapper, Weiss reeled in a 14th place finish.

The following night coming in 3rd in his heat race again, Ricky was locked into the $6,000-to-win A-Main. Coming one spot shy of a Top 10 finish, Weiss posted a 11th place outing in the 50-lap affair.

Bad Luck Continues for Weiss in Shamrock at Boyd’s

Behind the wheel of the Derrick’s Sandblasting #7 Super Late Model, Ricky Weiss invaded Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia) on Saturday night for the Schaeffer Oil Southern National Bonus Series sanctioned contest. In a field of 25 cars, Weiss suffered mechanical issues in qualifying putting him near the back of his heat race after he was unable to record a solid time. Passing three cars, Ricky secured his spot into the show with a 3rd place finish. Starting in 9th, Weiss was advancing toward the front until he broke the rear-end bringing a disappointing end to his night.

Weiss Attends Tennessee Tipoff at Smoky Mountain

On Friday evening Ricky Weiss visited Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) for the Schaeffer Oil Spring Nationals season-opener. In a field of 23 Super Late Models for the two-day Tennessee Tipoff, Ricky failed to post a time in qualifying but locked his spot into the $15,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday with a 4th place finish in his heat.
