Powering the Derrick’s Sandblasting #7 Super Late Model, Ricky Weiss traveled to Red River Co-op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba) on Thursday evening. Passing six cars in his heat race, Weiss streaked to an 8-lap victory locking his spot into the main event. The following night at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota), Ricky secured his spot into the A-Main with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Mike Balcaen. Battling with Dustin Strand for the top spot in the feature, Weiss came up short at line to place 2nd behind Strand with Troy Schill, Mike Balcaen, and Brody Troftgruben rounding out the Top-5.
Wrapping up the three-day weekend, Weiss stopped at Greenbush Race Park (Greenbush, Minnesota) on Saturday for the Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) sanctioned Jack Grahn Memorial. Gaining four spots in his heat race, Weiss recorded a 3rd place finish positioning him 5th on the starting grid for the A-Main. With $1,500 on the line, Ricky Weiss gained one spot in the 25-lapper reeling in a 4th place finish behind Dustin Strand, Brad Seng, and Joey Pederson with Bill Mooney coming in 5th.
