Top 10 finish in doubleheader at Bulls Gap

Ricky Weiss traveled to Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) on Friday afternoon for the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series doubleheader. With 33 cars on hand, Ricky followed up the second fastest time overall in time trials with a second place finish in his heat behind Scott Bloomquist. Starting the $10,000-to-win A-Main in sixth, Weiss suffered a flat-tire while running in 10th that sent him pitside. Clawing back from the tail, Ricky worked his way up to a 10th place finish. The following night, Weiss edged his way into the finale with a third place finish in his heat. With $10,000 on the line, Ricky salvaged a 13th place outing in the 50-lapper after getting in a tangle on lap 31.

Ricky remains in second in the latest World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series point standings.
