Weiss records seventh-place finish at Port Royal

Following the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series to the Keystone State, Ricky Weiss traveled to Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) on Friday to kick off the doubleheader weekend with the Huey Wilcoxon Memorial. In a field of 43 cars, Weiss locked his spot into the redraw with a runner-up finish in his heat behind Chris Madden. With $10,000 on the line, Ricky dropped two spots in the 40-lapper to register a seventh-place finish. (Rick Neff photo)

On Saturday afternoon for the Billy Vacek Memorial, Ricky scored a third-place finish in his heat, which positioned him 12th on the starting grid for the $15,000-to-win A-Main. Holding his spot for the entire distance of the 50-lapper, Weiss recorded a 12th-place outing.

Ricky is currently tied for fourth in the latest World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series point standings.
