Runner-up finish with Southern All Stars at Smoky Mountain

With the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series having an off weekend, Ricky Weiss invaded Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) on Saturday afternoon for the Southern All Star Series-sanctioned Rockin’ with the Stars. With time trials setting the grid for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Ricky clocked in second fastest in his group behind Dale McDowell. Rolling off fourth, Weiss improved two spots in the 40-lapper to place finish second, following Jensen Ford across the line with Cory Hedgecock, Dale McDowell, and Sam Seawright rounding out the Top-5.
