Weiss visits Smoky Mountain for Tennessee Tip-Off

Ricky Weiss was back in action on Saturday afternoon aboard his J&C Properties No. 7 Late Model at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, TN) for the Tennessee Tip-Off Classic. Drawing 37 Late Models for the event co-sanctioned by the Valvoline Iron-Man Southern Series and the Ultimate Southeast Series, Weiss came in fifth-fastest in his group before placing third in his heat. Starting the $12,000-to-win A-Main in 9th, Ricky was an early retiree from the 60-lap affair on lap 39.
