Ricky Weiss joins World of Outlaws for World Finals at Charlotte
Joining the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series for their final weekend of competition in 2023, Ricky Weiss visited The Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, N.C.) on Wednesday afternoon for the first night of the World Finals.
On qualifying night, Weiss timed in 17th-fastest for Thursday and 21st for Friday's group.
Rolling into heat races on Thursday, Weiss charged forward three spots in his heat race to nab the final A-Main transfer spot. For the first $15,000-to-win feature of the weekend, Ricky faded back to 22nd when the checkered flew.
For another $15,000-to-win show on Friday, Ricky was unable to crack the A-Main starting field after finishing 15th in his Last Chance Showdown.
With Saturday's $25,000-to-win finale on tap, Weiss once again missed the A-Main cutoff with a 10th-place outing in his B-Main.
