Ricky Weiss runner-up in Crate portion of Volunteer 50; Top-5 in $50,050 finale
Fresh off a two-win weekend, Ricky Weiss pulled double duty in the Volunteer 50 at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) on Friday afternoon.
With preliminary features slated for night one, Weiss scored a podium finish in the 604 Late Model feature and finished just outside the Top-3 in his Super Late Model prelim with a fourth-place finish.
Locked into both main events on Saturday, Ricky raced from his eighth-place starting position in the $50,050-to-win Super Late Model feature and scored a Top-5 finish in fifth. With $8,050 on the line in the 604 Late Model A-Main, Weiss settled for a runner-up finish behind Jeremy Steele.
