Ricky Weiss seventh in Scott Bloomquist Memorial Scorcher at Volunteer Speedway
On Thursday afternoon, Ricky Weiss competed in a memorial event honoring the late Scott Bloomquist at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) for the $10,000-to-win Scorcher.
Starting ninth in the 50-lap main event, Wiess made up two spots to finish seventh.
Bringing out his Crate Late Model for the rest of the weekend, Weiss invaded Richmond (Ky.) Raceway for the two-day Fastrak Racing Series event.
Dealing with mechanical issues, Weiss started 24th in the $3,000-to-win main event and wound up on the podium in third.
Saturday's $10,000-to-win main event was rained out.
